High-Speed Train Tunnel Navigation Method Based on Integrated MIMU/ODO/MC Navigation

When a high-speed train is running in tunnel, the global navigation satellite system (GNSS) signal completely lost. Relying only on inertial (INS) composed of Micro-electromechanical Systems (MEMS) devices leads to large errors. To solve this problem, an integrated micro measurement unit (MIMU), odometer (ODO), and motion constraint (MC) tunnel method proposed. This first establishes model based installation angles MIMU; secondly, effect turning analyzed use condition constraints obtained; MIMU are then estimated when GNSS good met; finally, forward speed measured by applied suppress error INS improve accuracy tunnel. Based method, tests were carried out both areal environment case study with artificially disconnected signal. The experimental results showed that was significantly improved. Seamless achieved inside outside which verified effectiveness method.
